87 Graduates Emerge from Women Empowerment Program by Adamus Resources Limited and CBAE
August 21, 2023Ms Angela List, the Chief Executive Officer of Nguvu Mining, was the Special Guest of Honour at the celebration of the seventy-fifth (75th) anniversary of Ahantaman Girls Senior High School, located in Sekondi. The anniversary consisted of a series of activities starting on July 22, 2023, with the grand durbar being held on July 29, 2023.
At the durbar, Ms. Angela List appealed to teachers to exhibit high-sense patience, as it takes a lot of effort to mould and shape the youth into responsible adults. She admonished the students to also be disciplined, since that is the hallmark of all achievers.
Ms List admonished the students to change the narrative by challenging the gender stereotype in the Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) education. She added that this is one sure way of altering the status quo.

To serve as an inspiration and motivation to the student and all gathered, she shared her personal experience in the mining sector. Ms. List intimated that she ventured into an unfamiliar terrain in 1991 when she embraced the challenge to rescue and successfully restructure a mining contracting company and today serves as the second Vice President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines.
Ms. Angela List promised one thousand bags of cement towards the completion of the dormitory and library projects initiated by the school. She was subsequently awarded a plaque in appreciation of her contributions to the welfare of the school.
