Nguvu Mining is proud to announce that our CEO, Angela List, has been awarded the prestigious title of Female CEO of the year in the mining category. The award ceremony took place at the 8th Ghana CEO Summit 2024, held at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra, Ghana, on Monday, May 27, 2024.
The Best Female Mining CEO award recognizes outstanding female leaders in the mining industry who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to sustainable practices. Ms. List’s visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to excellence have propelled Nguvu Mining to new heights, establishing the company as a leader in the African mining sector.

Nguvu Mining Limited is proud to champion gender diversity within its workforce. Through our Adamus operation in Ghana, we have successfully trained eleven women from local communities to become professional operators of advanced mining machinery. This initiative demonstrates our dedication to breaking down gender barriers in the mining sector, while ensuring our operations bring tangible benefits to the surrounding communities.

Nguvu Mining Limited, through its Adamus operation in Ghana, is making strides in gender inclusivity by successfully training eleven women from local mining communities to be professional operators of advanced mining equipment. This initiative not only breaks traditional gender barriers but also aligns with the company’s commitment to empowering women in the mining sector and ensuring the broader community benefits from its operations.

In a bid to boost its production capacity, Ghana’s wholly Ghanaian owned mining giant, Adamus Resources Limited, with financial support from its parent company, Nguvu Mining Limited, has launched over a dozen 100 Tonne capacity Liebherr T236 mine haulage trucks at the company’s site at Essiama in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.
The acquisition of the haulage trucks augments the company’s existing heavy-duty equipment and forms part of Adamus Mining’s expansion drive towards its planned aggressive exploration programme.
Achieving this milestone which has been one of the company’s major goals, has strengthened its ground resources.

We are thrilled to announce a remarkable achievement within the Adamus Resources Limited (ARL) family. Yvonne Edem Sunu, our esteemed Metallurgical Superintendent, has been honored as the 2nd Runner Up in the prestigious category of Female Mining Professional of the Year – Technical, at the Ghana Mining Industry Awards. This notable event took place at the Movenpick Ambassadors Hotel in Accra on the 1st of December, 2023.

In a significant stride towards boosting women empowerment and national development, Adamus Resources Limited, in collaboration with the College of Beauty, Arts and Entrepreneurship (CBAE), celebrated the graduation of 87 women from the mine’s catchment area. The program, aimed at equipping women with employable skills in trades such as makeup artistry, hairdressing, bead making, and detergent manufacturing, culminated in a grand ceremony graced by distinguished speakers.
