On Friday, 10 June 2022, Mrs Angela List, CEO of Nguvu Mining, led a team from Adamus Resources and some local chiefs from the Ellembelle district to plant trees in support of the President of Ghana's agenda to green the country.
Some residents of the local communities, assembly members, students and members of the Forestry Commission also joined the mining firm and its CEO in the tree planting exercise.
Ms List highlighted the role trees play by giving off oxygen which we depend on for survival. She also revealed that the company would be planting about 10,000 trees at the end of the exercise.
In her address to the media, she encouraged all mining firms and their host communities to support the government’s initiative to help avert deforestation and restore lands destroyed through mining activities.
