Adamus Resources Limited, a subsidiary of Nguvu Mining Limited, has once again reaffirmed its commitment to supporting education in the Ellembelle District and Nzema East Municipal Assembly. The company recently presented a scholarship cheque worth GHS 390,000 to assist 131 brilliant but needy students in pursuing their academic dreams. This initiative, a cornerstone of the company’s corporate social responsibility, has been a consistent annual tradition since its inception in 2011.
The scholarship program started modestly, benefiting just nine students in its first year. Over the years, it has expanded significantly, encompassing a wide array of communities within the district. The current scheme not only alleviates financial challenges but also serves as a catalyst for academic excellence among the youth in the region.
During the presentation ceremony, held at a gathering of community stakeholders and beneficiaries, representatives from Adamus Resources Limited emphasized the company’s dedication to education and capacity building.
The company’s delegation, led by Mr. Benjamin Addo, the Commercial Manager, included Mr. Philip Thompson (HSE Manager), Mr. Isaac Archer (Management Accountant), and representatives from the Social Responsibility Department, Mr. William Acquah and Mr. Francis Mensah. In his remarks, Mr. Addo stated: “We are not only giving you this scholarship, but we will also provide you with opportunities for internship and training programs at the company.”
This dual approach to education and skill development highlights Adamus Resources’ commitment to creating sustainable opportunities for the youth beyond financial support
