The critical place farmers occupy in all economies, developed or developing, cannot be downplayed. Despite the spate of technological development, farmers remain the backbone of all economies. Needless to say, farms supply virtually all the raw materials needed for most industries. It behooves on all and sundry, therefore, to ensure the sustainability of farming.
The dedication of a day to celebrate our gallant farmers was apt. Adamus Resources Limited, ARL, as a responsible corporate citizen, has been, and continues to be, a participant, and not a spectator in this regard.
Adamus Resources Limited annually budgets for this day. The Western Region Coordinating Council, Ellembelle District, Nzema East Municipal & Jomorro Municipal Assemblies look up to ARL for support, regardless of production and thus cashflows, and the Company has not disappointed these institutions.
In keeping with the tradition, the Company invested almost ₵178,000.00 to procure the following items, which were subsequently distributed to the four institutions to constitute part of the prizes to be given to deserving farmers in the respective Assemblies.
- Wellington boots
- Knapsack sprayers
- Boxes of Keysoap
- Mattresses
- Roofing sheets
- Boxes of machetes
- Wax prints
- Motorbikes
In recognition of the Company’s support over the years, the Jomorro District Assembly, holding its Farmers Day celebration at Kabenla Suazo on Friday, 8th November 2024, awarded ARL with a plaque. It was a token of appreciation for the unflinching support they enjoy from Adamus.
The SRD Superintendent, Mr. Edmund Kofi Eshun, and the HSE Manager, Mr. Philip Thompson, proudly presented the plaque to the General Manager, Mr. Kwadwo Opoku Ansah, in his office at the Nzema site. Following the presentation, General Manager Mr. Ansah shared his thoughts, commending the efforts of the SRD team. He expressed his appreciation for their hard work and dedication, assuring them of the company's commitment to consistently fulfilling its social responsibilities. Mr. Ansah emphasized the importance of these initiatives and encouraged the team to continue their excellent work
