As part of the 2026 Breast Cancer Awareness Month celebration, the Adamus Ladies Association in collaboration with Adamus Resources Limited organized a two-day outreach and free screening exercise at Kwame Nkrumah Senior High School. This significant event forms part of the company’s commitment to ensure and improve the health care of the people of Nzemaland.
This event took place on Tuesday, 6th to Wednesday 7th October, 2026 at exactly 9am prompt at the school’s assembly hall and infirmary respectively. The team led by the Adamus Ladies Association’s President, Mrs Hannah Chemel, sensitized and screened over 425 female students on the importance of self-examination and early detection.
During the screening, 16 students were referred for further medical examination and evaluation by a doctor. The Association remains committed to supporting these students through the referral process while ensuring their privacy and well-being.
We commend the school authorities and the students for their cooperation and for taking this bold step towards their health. This is a clear reminder that breast cancer awareness must start early. Together, we can save lives through early detection.
